EDUCATION: By Degrees

Could two Associate Degrees add up to a Bachelor’s? It just seems to me that I have so much to explore at Tunxis in new media, computer graphics and programming, advanced psychology, sociology–all the courses I didn’t have to take but would like to.

Maybe I was wrong about students creating their own curriculum! Only problem with that is that we’d have to get the business world to go along with it in their hiring practices.

I think it would be wonderful if we could take the courses that interest us, receive a degree (or 2 or 3) based upon the classes taken and find the perfect job as a result.

Unfortunately I don’t believe that is the way the world works currently. While I find the New Media courses being offered in 2004 interesting, I need to focus in another direction to attain my BS by 2005.

With luck I can keep at least a toe in the New Media pool.
