100 DAYS PROJECT: #11
Alottaplot
Strangely enough, if I find focus on a particular narrative element, I’ve been mapping the notes out in Tinderbox even before the story is formed. Don’tcha love the arc?
This one is for hypertext fraidy-cats; you cannot get lost, you will not be sent directly to jail. If you take a sidetrail you’ll be plopped safely (and more knowledgeably) back onto Main Street until you reach the end of the story. If you do not take a sidetrail, you’ll just miss out on a bit of fun. No problem; it’s a gloomy day here too.

It’s a wonderful story, I love the way you put words together, much fresher and original than most everyone I know. Thanks also for the tips on how to read for content and plot. You nailed it when you described a jumbled up pile of words. Although I have yet to rely on the maps, I do check them as a secondary source to see where I’ve been and what I may have missed. Each one is a double-read, but really intriguing to jump off and then return to a point I recall from the first reading. When I’m feeling really brave I’ll tackle some of your big ones 🙂

The next one for you to try would be yesterday’s #12 How Bad Do You Want It? since I didn’t figure out yet the best way to set it up and the result is a linear story. Don’t be afraid of taking the wrong trail or missing something–though the map is a good way to get the feel of it. All hypertexts are 2, 3, 4 times reader-throughs if they’re done well since it will be a new story each time.
Thank you for your kind compliments. I have to laugh; my husband starts giggling when I’m telling him about something since my diction when speaking is even odder than when I write.
