NEW MEDIA: Flight Paths

December 13th, 2007 by Susan

Uh, not for nuthin’ but I’ve been through the Flight Paths site again and the actual narrative appears to only be 2 paragraphs total so far while the terms and conditions of particpation are about 23 paragraphs long.  It’s nice to cover all bases, but is this where the creativity was spent?  There also appears to be plenty of backing for this project but I’m not fond of the machinations of the site, which is is rather a confusing pattern that brings you into Word Press with a single click from your main sign-in page.

Nevertheless, I shall be patient and watch as this thing develops.

So, how do I apply for a grant?

Ha ha, this is funny. Maybe we should create a piece that consists of an incredibly elaborate set of terms & conditions… we could call it… Terms & Conditions!!

But, more seriously, the project will grow, more narrative will appear, more multimedia will appear… so do keep looking, and contribute if you feel like it! At the moment we are still tweaking the site itself and, like yourself, aren’t entirely happy with its functionality.

Also, launching a project just before Xmas wasn’t perhaps the brightest idea we’ve ever had, what with various demands on time etc!

    But thanks for your interest.

Thanks, Kate, for looking in here. As primarily a writer, I’m curious to see the odd directions that coalesce into story from the input of diverse minds.

I’d love to participate and will naturally give the project the time it needs to emerge from its conceptual stages into a fully developed narrative form.

You gotta admit, them terms and conditions are somethin’ else though! Best of luck with this and success with all you explore in the future–it’s the boost literature needs.
